Florence L. Conrad, 85, Leavenworth, Kansas passed away Friday, December 17, 2004 at St. John Hospital, Leavenworth. She was born November 15, 1919 in Leavenworth, Kansas the daughter of Clarence Atwell and Ethel Smith Atwell. On June 21, 1941 in Leavenworth she married Theodore H. "Ted" Conrad. They were married 63 years. Ted survives at the home. She is also survived by Daughters, Alice Louise Conrad of Leavenworth, Kansas, Dorothy "Dot" Quebedeaus of Omaha, NE. Son, Ted Conrad, Jr. of Leavenworth Kansas. Her sister, Alice LaBunker of Andover, Massachusetts. Grandchildren, Shannon Wilcox, Wendy Andersen and Cathy Cox and three Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Lee Means. Florence was a member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, for many years she was active in the Eastern Star, the White Shrine and the Leavenworth County Historical Society. Visitation will be held from 6-8 Monday, December 20, 2004 at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Leavenworth, Kansas. The Rev. Jim McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Pilgrim United Church of Christ.
