As a minister in the Evangelical and Reformed Church (now the United Church of Christ), her husband served parishes in Tipton, Iowa, and Lafayette, Ind., before becoming Professor and Dean of Mission House Seminary near Plymouth in 1953. With the move of the seminary in 1962, he became Dean of United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in New Brighton, Minn.  She will be remembered by both students and faculty alike at the seminaries at which her husband taught, opening her home to students; she was a gracious hostess and mentor to the students, and when the situation required, lent a nurturing hand.
