BLUEFIELD, VA. - Jettie L. Reeves, 85, of 154 Reeves St., Bluefield, Va. (Abbs Valley), died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W.Va. Born in Abbs Valley, Va., she was the daughter of the late Giles French and Lillian Compton. She was a charter member of Abbs Valley Baptist Church in Abbs Valley, Va., a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Reeves; six brothers and three sisters. She is the last of the immediate family. Survivors include three sons, Donald Reeves and wife Margie of Abbs Valley, Va., Ronald Reeves and wife Faye of Bluefield, W.Va., and Teddy Reeves and wife Karen of Claypool Hill, Va.; one daughter, Nancy Murphy and husband Tim of Calhoun, Ga.; one stepson William Reeves and wife Helen of Mesa, Ariz; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. with the Reverend Paul Baker and Evangelist Bob Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Bluefield, Va. Friends may call Saturday June 12, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
