Jan Boyd Melton, 67, of Providence, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 5th at Baptist Health Madisonville after several prolonged illnesses.
She was a graduate of Western Kentucky Universty and worked as a Radiologic Technologist with several healthcare organizations throughout the area.
She proudly served as co-owner of Melton Funeral Home in Providence, Kentucky, for over forty years.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church along with Garden Club, Pakendall, and Mother's Club for most of her life.
Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Melton of Providence, Kentucky and their children, Georgianna Melton Haas of Madisonville, Kentucky and Stanton A. Melton of Providence. She is also survived by her brother William (Becky) Boyd of Bradenton, FL., along with her grandchildren Megan Jackson of Evansville, Indiana and Savannah Haas of Madisonville, Kentucky.
Funeral service for Mrs. Melton will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 8th at First Baptist Church in Providence, Kentucky, with Rev. Kim Hudson and Pastor Brian Gibson officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Big Hill Cemetery in Providence, Kentucky.
Visitation for friends and family will be Thursday, January 7th from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Melton Funeral Home.
