Benito De La Garza Jr. passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 at home, peacefully. Benito was born December 5, 1946 to Benito and Manuela (Tijerina) De La Garza. He was a 1966 graduate of Edison High School (San Antonio, TX) and served in the United States Marine Corps. He married Hollis-Penny (Schaffer) De La Garza on October 26, 1968. Benito's wife of 38 years, HollisPenny, survives him along with two daughters; Ana Maria (Doug) Regester, Elena (Matt) Reever, son, Benito De La Garza III and, granddaughter, Mikaela Regester. He was preceded in death by both parents. Benito will be laid to rest at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK. Corbett Funeral and Cremation Service, 807 W. Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK is handling arrangements.
