Mrs. Grant (Rose) Schlottman, 84, of Highland Manor, formerly of Sunset Apts., New Ulm, died at Sioux Valley Hospital Sunday.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ in New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm city cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today at the Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm, and will continue at the church Wednesday for one hour before services.
She is survived by sons Duane of Fridley, Floyd and Dale, both of New Ulm; daughter Mrs. Wallace (Doris) Melzer of New Ulm, 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother Albert Fehlhaber of Los Angeles; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by husband Grant in March 1971.
She was born July 13, 1900, near Fairfax to Gustav and Caroline (Grau) Fehlhaber. She married Grant Schlottman in New Ulm May 12, 1921. She was employed at J. C. Penney in New Ulm and later at Retzlaff Hardware for 13 years before retiring in 1962. She had been a resident of Highland Manor Nursing Home for the past four years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ and the ladies aid.
