John "Bill" Weaver, age 85, of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at his residences surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born on August 29, 1930, in Scottsville, KY to the late Wesley and Lilly (Tinsley) Weaver. Bill married the love of his life Beverly J. (Beeman) Weaver on Sept. 5, 1953, and she passed away on Aug. 8, 2006. Bill retired from I.M.I. and Ready Mix after several years of service. Bill enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He loved spending time with his friends and family. Bill is survived by four daughters, Frances (Gary) Birky of Kouts, IN, Pauline (Fiancée Doug Perkins) Frye of Summershade, KY, Penny (Terry) Keegan of Kokomo, and Betsy (Jim) Carroll of Frankton, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, four brothers, James, Gene, Henry, and Dee Weaver, three sisters, Sue Cook of Scottsville, KY, Betty Grimes of Bowling Green, KY, and Margie DeHart of Elwood, Several nieces & nephews
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson, Billy Joe Carroll, great grandson, Kamden Carroll, Brother, Joe Weaver, sister Maedean Brook-Lee.

Service's celebrating Bill's life will be at 11:00 am Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Rev. Tom King officiating, burial at Elwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home.
