NEWPORT NEWS - Florance A. Neihouse, a longstanding resident of Newport News,died June 16, 1998. She was the widow of Anshal I. Neihouse. She was a devoted homemaker; a past president of Newport News PTA; a member of Ort and Hampton Chapter of Hadassah; and a member of the Grand Club of the Jewish Community Center. She was a longstanding member of Adath Jeshrun Congregation. She is survived by two daughters, Shyrli Grunwald of Baltimore, Md., and Jacque Haskins of Newport News; five grandchildren, Shana, Tracey, Cortney, Amy and Adam; and four great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, in Hebrew Cemetery. Donations may be made to Adath Jeshrun Congregation, 12545 Nettles Drive, Newport News, Va. 23606, (757) 930-0820. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Steve Blankenship. Services by Riverside Funeral Home.
