Linda Gayle Ayers, 73, of Madisonville, KY passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at her residence in Madisonville.
Ms. Ayers was born on December 22, 1942 in Hopkins County, KY, to the late Clyde Tweddell and Louse Hughes Tweddell. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Jenkins; great nephew, Branddon Atkins.
She was a member of the Richland Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Ayers of Madisonville and Deborah (Troy) Crowley of Hanson, KY; one sister, Janice (Mike) Vaughn of Madisonville; two brothers, Michael (Umi) Davis Austin, TX and David (Linda) Tweddell of Madisonville; three grandchildren, Valerie (James) Doane, Matthew Hill, and Tre Tharp all of Hanson; and three great grandchildren, Caidence Doane, Kyra Doane, and Kash Doane; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Richland Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Lantrip and Bro. Laddie Pride officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Providence, KY.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and after 10:00 A.M. Monday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Funkhouser, Josh Florea, Billy Duvall, Galvin Cavanah, II., Chuck Lamdin, and Alan Elder. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Mark Wigger, Galvin Cavanah, Sr., and Doug Duvall.
