Rock Musician. A keyboardist, he was a founding member of the influential progressive rock power trio supergroup, "Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP)". They were best known for the songs "Lucky Man" (1970), "From the Beginning" (1972) and "Karn Evil 9" (1973). Emerson established himself as one of the most influential players of the synthesizer in the Rock Music genre. After learning the piano, he acquired experience playing with several bands before joining the late 1960s progressive-rock band "The Nice."
