Bernice A. Techmeier, age 72, a resident of Rennes Health Center-West, passed away April 9, 1996 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The youngest of 12 children, the former Bernice Felch was born March 12, 1924 to the late Mary(Trottier) and Christian John Felch on their homestead in Porterfield, WI.

On June 27, 1942, she married Harold F. Techmeier at St. Joseph Church in Walsh. He preceded her in death July, 1965.

Together they had 5 children: Harold (Ellen) of Marinette, WI; Keith (Kyeung) of Puyallup, Washington; Raenie Behling of Marinette, WI; Janice (Jerry) DalSanto of Porterfield, WI and Stanley (Laurie) of Germany;
also 10 grandchildren: Donelle, Donica, Rick, Shannon, Kevin, Kris, Karl, Derek, Keith and Ben;
one brother Alfred (Marie) Felch of Porterfield, WI;
two sisters: Rose Kaminski of Oshkosh, WI and Frances Grawey of Marinette, WI.

Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Church in Walsh after 11:30 am on Saturday; funeral services will be held at the church at 1:30 pm with Rev. Roger Strebel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Walsh. Thielen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
