He was born in Rochester, the son of James and Sophia Olinger.
He was been a resident of Florida since 1957.
A sister, Mrs. Pearle Baldwin, died May 10, 1973.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Olinger served in the U.S. Navy four years.
Mr. Olinger was a member of the Old Watch Factory Band and a band master.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Evemeyer of Danville and Mrs. Virginia Fields of Crescent City, Fla.; one grandson; and one granddaughter.
Services were at the Staab Funeral Home.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
