Credit given for naming of the Town of Olanta, SC in 1908, President of the bank in Olanta until 1909. Was the first and youngest Mayor/Intendant of Olanta. Moved to then Williamsburg County in 1909, where he would head banks in Cades and Lake City. He would later become President of a bank in Columbia, SC. He moved to Birmingham, Al. as Vice President of First National Bank. He later would head the RFC as director, and later as Head of State National Bank in Decatur, Al.
