"Went to Nacogdoches Co., TX in 1848 with his father. Served in the Confederate Army."

"All his life a frontiersman, he was wounded in the leg by an Indian's arrow, and wounded in the arm during the Civil War."

"Andrew Job Means b. 1838 in Overton County, TN. Went to Texas when 10 years old. Married Martha Amner Evans. Served in the Confederate Army. Master roll of Mar-Apr 1863 shows him discharged Mar. 6, 1863, a corporal, at Camp, near Pine Bluff, Ark., disability caused by gunshot in formarm, fracturing the radius." War Department records show that A. J. Means (Andrew Jobe) enlisted in the Confederate States Army Nov. 15, 1861 at Camp Hebert, near Hempstead, Texas. He was in the 12th Texas infantry.

Muster roll March and April 1863 shos him discharged for disability, March 6, 1863, a corporal. Other records show that he was discharged at camp, near Pine Bluff, Ark., disability caused by gunshot wound in the forearm, fracturing the radius.

This information was sent by C. H. Bridges, Major General, The Adjutant General. Jan. 2, 1931. It states that the original of this letter is in the files of the U.D. C. in Chicago, Il.

After wife Martha died in 1883, Andrew remarried a woman named Eliza Bradshaw Northrip who was 21 years his junior.

Clemmons Means, born 26 January 1800, Randolph County, North Carolina; died 27 December 1879, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

1st Married in 1820, Overton Co, TN: NANCY CARLOCK, born 10 May 1801, North Carolina; died in 1865, Nacogdoches, County, Texas.

Nancy was the daughter of Job and Nancy (McDonald) Carlock.

"Clem" was a noted Cumberland Presbyterian Minister. He came to Overton County, Tennessee with his father and was there in 1820. In 1826 and 1830 he was in Clay County, Missouri. By 1835 he returned to Overton County, Tennessee and remained there until 1850 when he moved to Nacogdoches County, Texas where he helped establish the first Presbyterian Church and was its first minister. He also assisted in founding the first Masonic Lodge in Nacogdoches County. An autobiography of Clemmons is contained in a book entitled "Old Men of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church."

Oklahoma Cemeteries website says "Bomar Point Cemetery" is located just southwest of the city of Wilson, Range 2W, Township 5S, Section 6. It is one of two cemeteries of the city of Wilson.

**Burial site is as yet UNCONFIRMED. The other possible cemetery would be Reck Cemetery, Wilson, Carter County, Oklahoma where there are also Means surnames from the late 1800's through early 1900's buried***OR Hewitt Cemetery: there is a publication History of Hewitt, Oklahoma that states "A.J. Means, father of W.W. Means, was a merchant for many years in Hewitt".
