Lester Dale Wells, 97, of San Diego died Tuesday. He was born in Verdon, Neb., and was a foreman for the City of San Diego Water Department for 30 years. He served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Wells; daughters, Helen Rice of Kansas, Carolyn Glassman of Corona Del Mar, Darlene Dise-Brucker of Del Mar, Janet Brady of San Diego and Laveda Evendorf of Kansas; son, Harvey Wells of Kansas; stepdaughters, Shirley Tipton and Connie Hart of San Diego and Judy Gardner of Kansas; stepsons, Alvin Goulart and Larry Morris of San Diego; brother, Nathan Wells of
San Diego; 26 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing: noon today, Greenwood Mortuary Last Supper Chapel, Interstate 805 and Imperial Avenue, San Diego.
Services: 1 p.m. today at the chapel.
Entombment: Greenwood Memorial Park, San Diego.
