Motion Picture Director. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during General Jorge Rafael Videla's dictatorship he was forced into exile, but eventually returned to become one of Argentina's best known film directors. Mignogna won the prestigious Premio Goya three times, for the films "Sol de Otoño" (1997), "El Faro" (1998) and "La Fuga" (2000), adapted from one of his novels. As a writer, his book "Cuatrocasas" won the Casa de las Américas award. His credits on television and cinema include "Evita, Quién Quiera que Oiga" (1983), "Flop" (1990), "Adela" (2000), "Cleopatra" (2003), "Un Día en el Paraíso" (2003) and "El Viento" (2005). At the time of his death he was working on the film "La Señal".
