He was born in Madrid, October 15, 1781, during the reign of King Carlos III. That night, the Spanish dramatic company staged the play Teatro Principal Faust. Maria Teresa was deeply linked to Caracas society. Her father was the brother of the third Marquis del Toro, Sebastian Rodriguez del Toro and Ascanio, Francisco Jose Rodriguez del Toro and Ibarra.
