She was preceded in death by her brother, Walton Sellers and her sister, Madelon Bryant of New Orleans, LA.
Mrs. Shutze is survived by
a son, Russell Fortenberry of Hattiesburg, MS;
three daughters,
Robin Shutze of Hattiesburg, MS,
Rhonda Hamilton of Brandon, MS,
Renee Fortenberry of Austin, TX;
two sisters,
JoAnn Warren of Brandon, MS and
Bonnie McCalmun of Homer, LA;
a brother,
Pat W. Sellers of Hattiesburg, MS
and five grandchildren,
Hunter Shutze,
Tanner Shutze
and John Walker Shutze of Hattiesburg and
Cooper Hamilton and
Charlotte Hamilton of Brandon, MS.
A verse Mrs. Shutze received many years ago from a friend was one of her favorites.
"God saw that you were getting tired
and a cure was not to be...
Therefore, he wrapped His arms around you and whispered
"Come with Me"
Golden heart stopped beating...
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the area homeless shelters and Southern Pines Animal Shelter.
