Patricia R. (Peterson) Freeman, 73 of Harwich, died at her home on January 17. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Freeman for 44 years.
Patricia grew up and graduated from high school in Park Ridge, N.J., where she was active in athletics, glee club and choir. She was a long time resident of Dumont, N.J., and had worked in data control for Parents Magazine and Penguin - Putnam Corp.
Upon retiring to Harwich in 2000, she volunteered at the Council on Aging and the Harwich Cranberry Festival. She was a member of the Tuesday Afternoon Mixed Bowling League in Yarmouth, and was a participant in "Cindy's" art class. She was a lover of animals and will be missed by her many friends and co-workers.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her children; Stephen McCabe and his wife Sherry of Harwich, Brian McCabe and his wife Karen of New Milford, N.J., Vincent Freeman of Naples, FL., and Chrisanne Ford and her husband Walter of Yarmouth Port. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Ryan, Devon and Sarah McCabe, Joshua and Emily Ford, and Evelina Freeman.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 20th from 3 - 6 pm at the Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main Street, Harwich, MA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 am in the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 714 Main St., Rt. 6A, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675, or to the VNA Hospice and Palliative Care, 434 Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660.
