King of Sicily. Born sixth child and eldest son of Pietro II and Elisabeth of Carinthia. As he was only five years old when he succeeded his father, his uncle Giovanni assumed the regency. After Giovannis death his mother acted as regent until her own death and was succeeded by her eldest daughter Constance until 1354. Ludovico remained a weak king and died only 18 years of age of the bubonic plague. He shares a sarcophagus with his grandfather, his uncle Giovanni, his niece Maria and her son.
