Loretta was housewife , homemaker, mother and grandmother. She had also worked at St. Vincent DePaul in Capac starting as a volunteer. She helped start a crochet club that met as the library. Loretta attended the Cross Roads Baptist Church in Imlay City.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years John Stanley Boven of Brown City and 3 children, Stanley James Boven and his fiance` Michelle Carpenter, Ronald J. (Tonia) Boven, Teresa Kaye (Larry) Petty, 12 grandchildren; Timothy, Alexa, Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha, Josh, Selina, Ronald, Kelsey, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth and 4 sisters and 2 brothers; Brookie Gail Tamba, Carrie Maynard, Jay C. Maynard Jr., Allen Maynard, Mary Rushton and Christine Fhilman and a mother in law Irene Boven.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents, a step-father Howard Sutherland and a brother George Maynard.
A viewing and visitation will be Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service is Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Baptist Church, Imlay City with viewing 1 hour before service. Burial will be on Evergreen Cemetery Brown City.
