Soviet military leader. Served during the Soviet-Finnish and Great Patriotic War. After the war was a test pilot, then deputy head of the department of combat training of the Air Forces of the USSR. In 1952 was awarded title of the Hero of USSR. Since 1963 with the rank of Major General Aviation, served as a deputy chairman of the Central Committee DOSAAF.
