Willard Edwin Stott passed away on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2012, at the age of ninety-one.

He was born in the small mining town (now a ghost town) of Rains, Carbon County to Arthur Lees and Fannie Charlotte (Day) Stott. He was the sixth of twelve children.

Willard proudly served his country during World War II as a paratrooper in North Africa, Italy, and China. He was awarded four bronze stars.

On September 16, 1946, Willard married Evelyn Rosella Partridge in the Salt Lake Temple. He chose a career with the U.S. Air Force. He and Evelyn raised their eight children while living in San Rafael, California; Roswell, New Mexico; the Philippines, and Tacoma, Washington.

Willard retired from the Air Force in 1968 and began working as a printer for Boeing in Seattle, Washington. After the death of his wife in 1983, Willard traveled the country, staying with his grown children, before returning to his home state of Utah.

He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Jordan River and Salt Lake temples as an ordinance worker. He enjoyed gardening, bowling and playing the harmonica.

Willard married LeOra Christensen in November 2000. She survives. Willard is also survived by his children, Randy (Roxanne), Linda Fowler, Peggy (Ed) Reid, Rick (Patti), Carey (Marlene), Carol Lee Zemler, and Duane; and a daughter in-law, Janene. He is also survived by brothers, Lyle, Arlo, and Lawrence Stott; sisters, Arva Jones and LaVola Browning; twenty-seven grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren (and four on the way). Willard was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; son, Lorin; granddaughter, Jessica and great-grandson, Brent. Also predeceased by brothers, Elvin Ervin and DeVere Dennis; and Verland, Delmer, and Leland Stott.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the caring staff of Legacy House of Bountiful and Harmony Hospice.
