He was born in Dema, Kentucky on January 30, 1947 to Muncie Meade and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jones Meade. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 sisters. He is survived by his wife: Dianna Meade; daughters: Connie Lynn (Bill) Jones and Gwen (Harry) Arnett; 4 brothers: Ned, Randy, Eugene and Eddie Meade; 7 sisters: Louise King, Barbara Nolan, Sue Waukechon, Sonja Holbrook, Janet Meade, Ogie Slone and Debbie Slone; 7 grandchildren: Brandi Nichole, Dianna DeLynn, Lyndon Blake, Bill Thomas, Sasha Lynn, Gary Tyler and Elizabeth Rose. Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Freddy Hall officiating. Entombment will follow at the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, Kentucky. Friends may call for visitation at the chapel, Thursday after 6PM and anytime Friday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Knott County and Floyd County Little League.
