Walter was the son of Walter Lewis and Etta (Hicks) Langley and he married Eva Faye Wright and they were the parents os two sons: Roger Timothy and Douglas Ray. His 2nd wife was Virginia Hilliard.

LIBERTY — Walter Roger Langley, 76, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at his home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was the son of the late Walter Lewis and Etta Hicks Langley and was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Langley.
Surviving is his wife of 27 years, Virginia Hilliard Langley; sons, Douglas Ray Langley and Roger Timothy Langley, of Staley; step-daughter, Nikki Barrett, of Staley; step-sons, Jeffrey Richardson, of Liberty and Ken Richardson, of Holden Beach; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
