She married Severin Suppes on Oct. 29, 1951, in Victoria. He preceded her in death Aug. 8, 2005.
She was a homemaker and a cook for many years. She enjoyed making crafts, gardening and making Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary poppy wreaths for members and functions. She lived in the San Francisco Bay area for 12 years and moved to Victoria in 1970. She later moved into Via Christi Village in 2011. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella and VFW Auxiliary, all of Victoria.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Suppes and wife, Bea, Hays, and Joseph Suppes and wife, Sunny, Veronica, Ore.; a daughter, Marilyn Pfannenstiel and husband, Mike, Munjor, and raised Paula (Braun) Younker and husband, Dale, Jetmore; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers, Edmund, Leo, Jerome, Daniel, Bernard "Benny," Adolph, Gilbert, Aloysius, Virgil and Richard Billinger; and two sisters, Helen Windholz and Flora Fellers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, both at the mortuary. A Daughters of Isabella/Christian Mothers/VFW Auxiliary memorial service and rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m., both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.
Memorials are suggested to the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria.
