Alan W. Vollmer III, seven month old son of Alan and Kendra (Shields) Vollmer Jr. passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Bay Area Medical Center of Marinette, WI. He was born on September 24, 2015, seven weeks premature in Green Bay, WI.
He was a fighter. He loved to snuggle with his family, spend time in his baby swing and enjoyed bath time. He craved attention from his parents.
Alan III is survived by his parents, Alan and Kendra Vollmer Jr. of Marinette, WI;
paternal grandparents, Alan (Tina) Vollmer Sr. and Heather A. Vollmer;
maternal grandmother, Tami Shields;
paternal great grandparents, Kenneth and Holly Bentzler and Jane Vollmer;
maternal great grandparents, Robert and Marie Shields;
Godparents, Ezekiel and Erica Shields and Timothy Richmond;
paternal aunts and uncle: Sharley, Samantha, and Timothy Vollmer;
maternal uncles: Joshua, Ezekiel, and Jeremiah Shields;
step aunts and uncles: Alicia, Rebecca, Thomas, and John Allen.
He is further survived by great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Patrick Shields;
great grandparents, William Vollmer and John and Darlene Melland; and great aunts, Janet Price-Rose and Carol Limberg.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Marinette on Thursday, May 12th from 11am-1pm. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm with Rev. Jon Tesch officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
