Joseph was the son of Melvin and Hallie Sinclair. About 1947 he married Bertha Willman and they had three children: Joseph, Sandra and David. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. At the time of his death he was employed as a truck driver for Interstate Motor Freight and he was a member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church. Joseph died at the age of 53.
