Major League Baseball Player. He spent 14 years in the major leagues as a pitcher with the St. Louis Browns, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies. He made his major league debut in 1911 at the age of 19. He appeared in 410 games during his major league career, winning 116 games and losing 147. He ended his career with 140 complete games and a 3.15 earned run average. He was a veteran of WWI.
