American Television Personality, Producer and Author. Parr began her career as a model, appearing on the cover of LIFE magazine in 1948. She then worked at a local radio and television station in Madison, Wisconsin, before moving to New York, where she landed a job at CBS as a weather girl on the 'Jim Jensen Show' before becoming a full-time news correspondent. During the 1960s, she rose to prominence as she continued regularly reporting on big events including the Republican National Convention in San Francisco and the Newark/New York riots of 1967. In 1978, she hosted her own talk show, 'The Jeanne Parr Show' on CBS. Following her time on television, she founded her own communications consulting firm and worked behind the scenes producing documentaries. She also wrote the book 'The Superwives' about the spouses of superstar athletes. Parr, who was the mother of actor Chris Noth, died of natural causes.
