Actor. He will be remembered for playing 'Cato', Inspector Clouseau's manservant in the "Pink Panther" film series. Born in England to Chinese parents, he was raised in China, but moved to the United States at the age of seventeen, prior to his family losing their fortune during the Chinese communist revolution in 1949. After studying at Bowdoin College in Maine, he focused on a career as an actor and returned to England, where he began in television. He experienced his breakthrough role as 'Li' in the film "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness" (1958) and went on to appear in the pictures "Passport to China" (1961), "Satan Never Sleeps" (1962) and "The Shoes of the Fisherman" (1968), in which he played a Chinese premier. Kwouk had the distinction of appearing as a different character in the James Bond films "Goldfinger" (1964), "Casino Royale" (1967) and "You Only Live Twice" (1967). He will be remembered by television audiences for playing 'Entwistle' in the series "Last of the Summer Wine" (2002 to 2010). Among his other TV credits were "The Avengers", "Secret Agent" and "The Saint".
