Marjorie B. Engelbrecht, age 96, formerly of Manitowoc, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Wisteria Haus, Two Rivers.

The former Marjorie B. McCarthy was born in the town of Cato on February 26, 1920, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Nate) McCarthy. She graduated with the class of 1939 from Valders High School. On October 4, 1941 Marjorie was married to Edwin Henry Engelbrecht at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1985. She worked as a press operator for Mirro Company for 21 years until her retirement. After retirement she received her CNA and was a homecare provider for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, baking, reading, and her cats. Marjorie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and past member of the Manitowoc Senior Center.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Jean (Milton) Schwahn, Wayside; Jayette (William) Kramer, Mishicot; daughter-in-law: Barb Engelbrecht, Manitowoc; one son-in-law: Jerry Kolby, CA; ten grandchildren: Wendy; Lisa; Cory; Jody; Chris; Tracy; Tammie; Tanya; Nikki; Lee; 17 great grandchildren: Kayley; Devin; Justin; Lauren; Brittany; Brianna; Brenna; Ehrin; Kyra; Coral; Mitchell; Ryan; Connor; Taylor; JJ; Olivia; Jack; two great-great grandchildren: Aaliyah; Amelia; one sister and brother-in-law: Charlotte Mae (William) Redding, Pensacola, FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Edwin Henry Engelbrecht; one daughter: June Kolby; one son: Edwin "Butch" Engelbrecht; one granddaughter: Kelly Kolodzeske; three sisters; two brothers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Beaudry will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
