Martin O. Walter, 78, of Ellicott City died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008.

He was the husband of the late Joan M. Walter.

Surviving are children and spouses Michael A. and April Walter, Donna M. Beitler, Mary Jo and Michael Jansen, Thomas A. and Elizabeth Walter, Anthony T. Walter and Kathleen A. Bonney; 17 grandchildren; and a brother, William Walter.

He was predeceased by siblings Margaret Thompson and Philip Walter.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Monastery, 251 S. Morley St., Baltimore. Interment will be in Loudon Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, 1630 Edmonson Ave., Catonsville.
