Marilyn was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 12. After high school in South Bend, she worked in the Insurance industry and worked her way up to Escrow Manager. She loved dancing, traveling, and her nieces and nephews. She was a gourmet cook and liked trying new recipes. She was ready to marry the "love of her life" when he was killed in Viet Nam with the U.S. Army.
Her life was full of surgeries and always trying new medications. She worked closely with the Arthritis Foundation in hope a cure would be found. In her later years when in kidney failure, she was placed on dialysis and drove herself to the facility three times a week until January 2016. She was very strong and strong-minded, but on 31 May 2016 her heart gave out. She was 70. She is buried with her parents, grandparents, and great grandparents.
