Michael J. Jepson, 66, of Coldwater, MI., died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Community Health Center of Branch County. He was born June 12, 1943 in Coldwater to Herbert and Edith (Stout) Jepson. Michael married Colette Aker on Aug. 22, 1964 in Coldwater.

Mike graduated from St. Charles School in 1962 and served in the US Air Force from 1963 to 1966. He began Jepson Electric in Coldwater in 1974 and operated the business until his retirement in 2006.

Mike was a member of St. Charles Church, the Coldwater Elks and American Legion and a lifetime member of the Grissom Air Museum in Peru, Ind. He enjoyed being an amateur radio operator and also served on the board as Vice President of the Lakeland Fire Department.

Mike is survived by his wife Colette, his son and daughter-in-law Joe and Leslie Jepson, his grandson Joel Jepson, all of Coldwater and his sister Cathy and Brooks Macklem of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Jepson in 1983, his parents, his sister Mary Hinsdale and his brother Ralph Jepson.

A Mass of Christian burial was held, May 27, 2010 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Coldwater. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater.
