Isaac "Ike Cat" Webb was the son of Thomas "Tom Cat" Webb and Mary McGaha. Family story indicates Thomas was skilled at killing panthers, or "cats" as he was nicknamed. The nickname of "Cat" was also given to two of his sons, William "Billy Cat" and Isaac "Ike Cat" to distinguish Thomas' children due to other Webb cousins with the same names.

Isaac Webb married Virginia Jane "Jennie" Webb on December 27, 1887. Virginia was supposedly his 2nd cousin who he married to help care for her children after her spouse William Valentine died. Isaac and Virginia had five children: Alexander, Lydia, Mary, Luvena "Vina" & Vaudalee. Some records indicate a son named Noah, but he's found to be Noah Valentine. Virginia died in 1909.

Isaac married Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Justis and they had one son, John Webb.

Isaac was a firefighter who died of tuberculosis in 1915. His death certificate states "Removed to Cosby, Tenn" as burial place and burial date of 4/27/1915. A location has not yet been found-McMahan was picked as Virginia is buried here.
