Isaac "Ike Cat" Webb was the son of Thomas "Tom Cat" Webb and Mary McGaha. Family story indicates Thomas was skilled at killing panthers, or "cats" as he was nicknamed. The nickname of "Cat" was also given to two of his sons, William "Billy Cat" and Isaac "Ike Cat" to distinguish Thomas' children due to other Webb cousins with the same names.

Isaac and Virginia had five children: Alexander, Lydia, Mary, Luvena "Vina" & Vaudalee. Some records indicate a son named Noah, but he's found to be Noah Valentine. Virginia died in 1909.
