GERBOSI - Douglas Peter of Plano, TX on Sunday, November 22, 2015. Beloved husband of Linda A. Gerbosi. Loving father of Andrew (Kara) Gerbosi, Rachel Gerbosi, Ryan Gerbosi and his furry buddy Shea. Proud Pop-Pop of Peyton Gerbosi. Cherished son of Peter Gerbosi and the late Ann Gerbosi. Revered brother of Donna (Anthony) DiFulvio, David (Suzanne) Gerbosi and Darren (Jennifer) Gerbosi. Cherished son-in-law of Carol and Raymond Carney. Adored brother-in-law of Gail (Cyril) O'Reilly, Raymond (Rori) Carney, Timothy (Tricia) Carney and the late Kenneth Carney. Favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. Doug was passionate about every aspect of life, from his career as CFO of Friendship Dairies to his work in youth sports and fight to beat cancer. A most selfless person, his sense of humor, bright smile and kind heart will be missed by all. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road (1-mile north of Southern State Parkway, Exit 29). Celebration of Liturgy of Christian Burial, Monday 9:45 AM at St. Barnabas Church, Bellmore. Interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale. Visiting Saturday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 PM & Sunday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 PM. A college scholarship has been created to honor Doug's memory.
