Eleanor Marie Seymour, 90, of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. She was born on August 17, 1925 in Menominee to the late Leonard and Odeal (Motto) Grun.

Eleanor graduated from Menominee High School class of 1943.

She married George Seymour on October 30, 1948 in Menominee. Eleanor was a member of Resurrection Parish in Menominee. She loved to read and her family was the most cherished part of her life.

Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of over 67 years, George Seymour;
three daughters: Sandy (David) Webb of Menominee, MI; Cindy Stites of West End, N.C. and Wendy (Rusty) Shaheen of Oregon, Ohio;
one son, Gary (Tammy) Seymour of Seymour, Ind.;
11 grandchildren including: Paul (Natalia) Webb, Todd (Barb) Webb, Chad (Shannon) Stites, Heather (Sean) Preston, Nicholas Shaheen, Beka Shaheen, Nadine Seymour, Kenneth (Kelsey) Seymour, Emily (Chris) Keefer, Matt and Brett;
eight great-grandchildren: Henry, Lucy, Will, Ali, Aiden, Ethan, Izabell, Jake;
and one great-grandson on the way;
one sister, Shirley (Don) Knutson of Menominee, Mich.;
her sister-in-law, Terry Burtis and other family members and friends.

Along with her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth “Sis” Soltesz and her brother Francis Grun.

Visitation will take place at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The Vigil prayer service will begin at 5:30 p.m. with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Eleanor Marie Seymour, on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, in Menominee, with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum in Marinette, Wis.
