Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 72, Lot 7414.
On this hillside lot are 2 stones, one mostly illegible, and one vacant plinth, suggesting that there is a fallen and buried stone nearby. One would never guess that 23 individuals are buried in this lot.
INSCRIPTIONS
---Stone in foreground:
John Coleman Rosecrans
1874 – 1947
---Two stones in background, left to right:
1
There is only a plinth here, but it appears to have been a twin to the stone that remains, which memorializes Emma Morris. it is fair to assume that the missing stone once memorialized Josephine Morris.
2
The only legible text on this stone is the name EMMA MORRIS.
