Circus Performer, and Actor. The 2 foot-9 inch actor was best known for his work as the friendly extraterrestrial 'ALF' in the 1980s science fiction-comedy series of the same name. He first came to fame in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, where he was billed as the "smallest man in the world". In his youth, he attended a school of circus arts, becoming well-skilled in many and varied performance routines. In 1973, the producers at Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus hired him as a featured performer where he trained and presented a dog act with Poodles. Aside from 'ALF", his other TV appearance includes 'Dear John' and on film, he had roles in 'Big Top Pee-wee' (1988), 'Waxwork' (1988), 'Look Who's Talking' (1989), 'Warlock: The Armageddon' (1993) and 'Death to Cupid' (2015). In the 1980s, the city of Hawthorne in California honored the actor by naming their shortest street 'Michu Lane'.
