Actress. Fondly remembered for playing 'Corabeth Godsey', wife of 'Ike' the storekeeper, in the TV series "The Waltons" (1975 to 1981). Born to parents of Scottish-English and German descent, her father was a trial attorney, her mother penned stories for True Confessions Magazine. Her fascination with acting began at an early age which led to her enrolling and studying Drama at the University of Oklahoma. She initiated her career as a performer in small stage productions and achieved her break when she was cast in the role of 'Sally' for the film "All the Way Home" (1963). In 1971, she made her Broadway debut in the play "The Trial of the Catonsville Nine." In addition to "The Waltons," she had further TV credits with "Dallas," "Falcon Crest," "Dynasty" and "Murder, She Wrote."
