Ted Nelson Moore, Jr., 66, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 10, 2016 while playing golf in Egg Harbor.

He was born December 28, 1949 in Illinois, the son of Theodore Nelson Moore, Sr., and Doris H. (Hampton) Moore. Following his graduation from high school, Ted went on to study at college for two years. He served his county with the United States Army for two years in country, Vietnam.

Ted was formerly employed with Bay Shipbuilding, Burger Boat, Palmer Johnson, and managed a regional territory for a national portrait photography company. Ted began his own contract painting business Ted Moore Painting, in 2001 and painted for 12 years until his semi-retirement two years ago.

He married Theresa Marie Haladejon on May 5, 1988 in North Carolina and were blessed with 26 years together.

Ted enjoyed the peace and relaxation of going for long car drives, golfing, and reading-anything. He also liked playing games on the computer, like solitaire, and Dungeons and Dragons amongst others. Ted had a diverse interest with regards to music, enjoying many different styles.

Ted will be deeply missed by his wife, Theresa; her two sons, Nicolas and Joshua Farmer; her two grandchildren, Madigan and Luke; two brothers-in-law, James Pollack of Eden Prarie, MN, Michael Hickey of Island Lake, IL; three nephews, David Pollack, Paul and James Hickey; aunts; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Bonnie Pollack and Cathy Hickey (2008).

Ted’s life will be honored with a memorial service held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Richard Feyen officiating. Military Honors by the United States Army and AMVETS Post 51 will follow at the funeral home.

Family and Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at Huehns Funeral Home.
