Broken Bow, Oct. 31 - Funeral services for the late Jacob B. Klump, Broken Bow's oldest citizen were held on Wednesday afternoon, October 29th, from his late residence in Broken Bow. Mr. Klump died at his home on Monday, October 27th after an illness extending over a period of a few months. Death was a result of gangrene.

Mr. Klump came to America at the age of seventeen years, having been born in Germany. He, with his two sisters, came over on a steamship that required fifty-two days of travel. He settled in Pennsylvania. He came to Custer county almost forty-five years ago and has resided in Broken Bow most of that time.
