Doris Ann (Croteau) Dubé, 90, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Riverside Rest Home in Dover, New Hampshire. A daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Cro- teau) Croteau, Doris was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on August 16, 1925, and had been educated in Portsmouth schools.

Doris was an active member of both the Im- maculate Conception and St. Catherine of Si- ena churches and enjoyed creating crafts and baking for the church fairs. Her favorite saint was Sainte-Anne-De-Beaupré, to whom she prayed; and many family trips were made to Ste-Anne's shrine in Québec, Canada.

Doris’s favorite pastime was walking, which she often did with her friend and cousin Nath- aly Shepard; and if one of them was walking without the other, people would inquire. Along their walks, Doris and Nathaly would often find coins, which they'd save all year then cash them in to buy lottery tickets, hoping that one day they'd win the big pot.

Doris made many friends around Portsmouth, socializing daily at the Bagel Works where she would meet up with others for a cold drink and some fun conversation. She enjoyed crochet- ing, various crafts, ballgames, playing cards, and playing the slots, and was a member of a knitting club. She was a marvelous cook and baker who loved to entertain and always had a full house for the holidays.

Survivors include her daughters Patricia Doris Smith of Barrington, New Hampshire, and Linda L. Pasakarnis of Newmarket, New Hampshire; her daughter-in-law Sally Dubé of Salem, New Hampshire; six grandchildren who she adored, Robert Dubé, Michael Dubé, Michelle Todd, Tammy Smith, Colleen Santos, and Rachel De- lisle; sixteen great-grandchildren; her brother Paul Croteau (and his wife Nancy) of Merri- mack, New Hampshire; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Jean- Paul Dubé in 1998; her son Richard Dubé in 2009; two sisters, Germaine Fanjoy and Théo- dora Croteau; and four brothers, Philias, Wil- fred, Roger, and Philip.

Visiting hours were held on Thursday, Septem- ber 17, at the Farrell Funeral Home in Ports- mouth. A Mass of Christian Burial was cele- brated on Friday at the Immaculate Concep- tion Church and burial followed in Portsmouth's Calvary Cemetery. The family requested that memorial donations may be made to Beacon Hospice in Portsmouth.
