Mrs. Florence Story Haines, 55, 1926 Yalecrest Ave., died at her residence, 12:30 p.m. Sunday, of cancer.
Born Jan. 23, 1909, in Ouray, Colo., a daughter of William and Florence B. MacArthur Story Jr. Married to Lewis Marshall Haines Nov. 30, 1935, Salt Lake City. He died Jan. 5, 1956. He was founder of Inland Gas Co. Member, Episcopal Church; active in Girl Scouts, and Junior League.
Survivors: three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Helen) Pitts, ibadan, Nigeria; . . . ; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Marian S. Goeltz, Mrs. Allison L. Nowels, William MacArthur Story, all of Salt Lake city; one grandson.
Funeral Wednesday noon, St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, 231 E. 1st South. Family requests contributions of remembrance to Roland Hall-St. Mark's School or Department of Cancer Research, University of Utah Medical Center. Burial, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
