Wilfred Joseph Croteau, age 45, of 121 Stark Street, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, died at the Portsmouth Hospital on Wednesday morn- ing, April 15, 1964.

Mr. Croteau was born on August 23, 1918, in Berlin, New Hampshire, a son of Arthur Cro- teau of Portsmouth and tha late Marie (Cro- teau) Croteau. A resident of Portsmouth for twenty-two years, Wilfred was employed as
a moulder at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and was a veteran of World War II. He was also a member of St. Catherine's Church and the Holy Name Society.

In addition to his father, he was survived by his widow, Lucille A. (Dubay) Croteau; three sons, Gérard, Michael, and Kevin Croteau; a daughter, Lisa Croteau; four brothers, Philias, Roger, and Philip Croteau, all of Portsmouth, and Paul Croteau of Merrimack, Massachu- setts; three sisters, Miss Théodora Croteau, Mrs. Doris Dubé and Mrs. Germaine Fanjoy, all of Portsmouth; and several nieces and neph- ews.

Visiting hours for Mr. Croteau were held at the Farrell Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 10 and on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10. His funeral was on Friday morning with a Solemn High Mass of Requiem at St. Catherine's Church at 9am followed by inter- ment at Portsmouth's Calvary Cemetery. Pall bearers were his brothers-in-law Patrick, Joël, Jean-Paul, Roméo, and Fidèle Dubé, and Rus- sell Fanjoy.
