Olympic Gold Medalist. He was a short track speed skater who won the gold medal in the 5000m relay at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. He started competing in the short track speed skating world championships in 2000 and earned numerous medals through the years. He competed in his first Olympics in 2002 at Salt Lake City and four years later, captured gold in the 5000m relay. He retired from the sport soon after winning the gold medal. He passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident at the age of 33.
