Daughter of Aspinwal and Minerva Brice Cornwell, she was married, lived in the Prospect Park area of Rocky Grove/Franklin, died there of organic heart lesions and chronic myocarditis, per death certificate 114953, whose informant was Mrs. Florence Wheeler of Sandy Lake, PA. Buried Dec 23 1921.

Mrs. Mary Cornwell Gibbons died at home, 104 Meadville Pike, at 4 am today after an illness of about 7 weeks of kidney disease, and over a year of poor health. She was born near Pleasantville October 6, 1847, daughter of Aspinwall and Minerva Cornwell.

She was a faithful member of Rocky Grove Presbyterian Church, and was a good-hearted, helpful neighbor.

At the age of 28 she married Aaron Gibbons of Crawford County, and lived near Guys Mills several years, then near Centerville, then Meadville, and then near Franklin. They had three children, Mrs. Harold Wheeler of Hendersonville, Mercer County, Mrs. Harry Day of Rocky Grove, and Mrs. Fred A. Brown of Reno; an adopted son, David N. Jones of Pittsburgh; 9 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hawthorne of Middlefield, OH, and Mrs. Emily Gerow of Cambridge Springs.

Services will be at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Day of Gilfillan Street, Rocky Grove, at 2:30 pm Friday, with her pastor, Rev. P. N. Osborne officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
