STREATOR - Joseph A. Centko, 73, of Streator, president for 12 years of Laborers Local 82, died at. 12:45 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 27, 1989) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen's Church, Streator, the Rev. Peter Bolerasky officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Solon Funeral Home, Streator, where the rosary will be recited at 7 tonight. , Mr. Centko was born April 5, 1916, at Streator, a son of John and Susan Elias Centko. He married Jean Shrewsbury July 29, 1947. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Joseph A. Jr., Streator; one daughter, Susan Schmit, Peoria; and two brothers, Thomas and George, both of Streator. Two brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Centko was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Streator Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492.
