Actor. He went from child actor on the Broadway stage to both films and television, during a forty-year career. Trained in acting, jazz music and tap dancing at an early age, he was cast in the successful, long running Broadway play "Damn Yankees" (1955 to 1957) and was a part of the musical ensemble from the classic production "The Music Man" (1957 to 1961), prior to making his motion picture debut in the film "Hot Rod Hullabaloo" (1967). He went on to becoming a recognizable character performer in such films as "Busting" (1974), "Foreplay" (1975), "Dog Day Afternoon" (1975), "I Will...I Will..For Now" (1976), "American Gigolo" (1980), "Nuts" (1987) and "Tango & Cash" (1990). Among his TV credits include the series "Chicago Hope." He died of complications from Multiple Sclerosis and Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
